Hello, my name is Cassi! I have been working in Social Work for more than a decade, and have been doing therapy for approximately 9 years. I received both my Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Master's of Social Work from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Dakota and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I have worked in several different settings, such as Certified Behavioral Health Centers, non-profit organizations, State Organizations, and for-profit organizations.
I have been trained in Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children with Autism, Crisis Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I have experience with individual therapy, couple's therapy, and group therapy, about all of which I am passionate. My special interest areas are helping those with a trauma history, those struggling in their relationships or with intimacy, setting boundaries, and those struggling with their self-image.
It can be a difficult and overwhelming experience trying to decide whether therapy is the right fit for you. For the best experience and most therapeutic journey, it is important to find a therapist whose personality and therapy style is a good fit for you and your needs. I have a direct, but empathetic communication style. You are the expert in your life, and your therapy is your journey. As a therapist, it is my job to be your guide for your therapy journey. I am excited to work with you and help you to achieve your goals!
